Serving table one…

Well, the first day went well enough. A lot of nice people, tolerant customers, and busy work. Also, the food looks flippin’ delicious. I can’t wait to bring some home tomorrow or Saturday.

I’m tired, though. Being on your feet all day is exhausting…I forgot this. I am waay too used to desk jobs.

Anyhow, I hope I get more hours. It looks like I am going to have to get at least two more jobs to make ends meet.

I will say the day was a bit of an eye opener. Most of the servers I worked with today were recent graduates like myself.

It’s funny. We are all probably just as educated as our customers, but many of them treat us like we are unprofessional. What’s up with that, guys?

Professionalism comes in many forms. I know many wacky and zany types who are just as professional as a lawyer or doctor; they just do and wear different uniforms.

Professionalism doesn’t always look like a three piece suit…it can totally look like a brunette in a pizza shirt and jeans. Damn straight.

Man. I graduated at the worst time EVER.

Onward goes the search for more work.
